Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mayzie Hanlon and Harper Kantzer Lead Buckeye Central to Victory

Buckeye Central won the last time they faced Wynford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bucks put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bucks.

Buckeye Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wynford between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-17.

Buckeye Central was led to victory by Harper Kantzer and Mayzie Hanlon. Kantzer had seven aces, while Hanlon had 13 digs and two assists. Those seven aces gave Kantzer a new career-high.

Buckeye Central's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Wynford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Buckeye Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Mansfield Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wynford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
