Softball Recap: Barnum Has No Trouble Against Kelley

Barnum barely beat Kelley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bombers were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Mariners on Tuesday. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Barnum is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Kelley, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.

Barnum and Kelley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Bombers will take on Chisholm at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (121 vs. 290). Meanwhile, Kelley (ranked 114th) will meet Cook County (ranked 327th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
