Josh Weaver posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Fruita Monument is 2-1 when Weaver allows one or fewer earned runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Weaver's strong effort led Fruita Monument over Palisade and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
