Murphysboro has gone a perfect 5-0 against Trico recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Murphysboro Red Devils will be playing at home against the Trico Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. Murphysboro will be strutting in after a victory while Trico will be coming in after a defeat.

Murphysboro is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They came out on top against Hamilton County by a score of 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Corbin Compardo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Kartje, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Trico lost 8-2 to Carbondale on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Terriers: they've now lost four in a row.

Everything went Murphysboro's way against Trico in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Murphysboro made off with a 12-0 win. Will Murphysboro repeat their success, or does Trico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
