Benicia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Granada Matadors by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Ava Rojas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Benicia's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Benicia will square off against Saint Francis at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Granada, they will challenge Carondelet at 1:15 p.m. on Friday.
