Volleyball Recap: Laughlin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Indian Springs on Friday, Laughlin came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Liberty Baptist Academy Knights on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While Laughlin was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26, 25-23.

Laughlin now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Laughlin and Liberty Baptist Academy will both be playing Pahranagat Valley the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
