Recap: Chamois Pirates vs. New Bloomfield Wildcats
The Chamois Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They skirted past New Bloomfield 70-68. The win was familiar territory for Chamois who now have three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why New Bloomfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Fuhriman. Despite the final result, he scored 30 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Fuhriman pulled down eight or more rebounds. J.t. Powell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Chamois has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for New Bloomfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chamois will be home for the holidays to greet South Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Bloomfield will be home for the holidays to greet Jamestown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jamestown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
