Basketball Recap: West Burlington Comes Up Short

West Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-41 to the Central Lee Hawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-37 back in December of 2024.

West Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Central Lee, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

West Burlington will take on Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Central Lee, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-31 loss against Mediapolis on the 28th.
