Basketball Recap: North Extends Winning Streak to Three

North extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kaitlin Dobida. The North Rangers had just enough and edged the Hathaway Brown Blazers out 53-50 thanks in part to Dobida, who posted 23 points along with eight boards and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North's points.

Raegan Perkins-Hirz was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two).

Hathaway Brown lost on Sunday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emily Morgan, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points in addition to eight steals and five boards. Another player making a difference was Anna Morgan, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 14 points.

North's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7. As for Hathaway Brown, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-44 win against Mayfield on the 22nd. As for Hathaway Brown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 45-40 loss against Chagrin Falls on the 24th.
