Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian lost a heartbreaker to Pleasant View Christian when they met back in February of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. The Calvary Christian EAGLES took a 27-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant View Christian Bulldogs. The EAGLES have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pleasant View Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Wagler led the charge by putting up 11 points. Wagler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trenton Graber, who posted four points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Pleasant View Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Calvary Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-36 defeat against Indiana Christian Academy on the 21st. Pleasant View Christian has also already played their next game, a 40-33 win against Wabash Valley HomeSchool on the 18th.
