Soccer Recap: Southside Comes Up Short at Home Against Paragould

Southside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paragould Rams on Thursday. The Southerners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Southside will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on April 8th. As for Paragould, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against Brookland on the 7th.
