Softball Recap: Lehman Comes Up Short

Lehman pushed their score to five the last time they played Leander, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Lehman Lobos fell 3-0 to the Leander Lions. If the Lobos were looking for revenge after losing 17-5 to the Lions when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Carina Oliva spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Lehman and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Leander, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Coming up, Lehman will face off against Liberty Hill at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Hill will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Lehman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leander, they will be playing at home against Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
