Volleyball Recap: Alton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Alton won the last time they faced Metro-East Lutheran and things went their way on Monday too. The Redbirds had just enough and edged out the Knights 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Redbirds as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-11, 25-16.

Alton pushed their record up to 5-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alton will square off against Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kahoks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Redbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will face off against Maryville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
