Softball Recap: Ridgewood Wins Going Away Against Aurora East

The Ridgewood Rebels made easy work of the Aurora East Tomcats on Thursday and carried off a 20-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Ridgewood got a massive performance out of Julia Conte, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Conte a new career-high. Annabelle Yanora also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ridgewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .861. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ridgewood's record now sits at 7-9. As for Aurora East, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgewood is set to square off against their familiar foe West Aurora at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Aurora East will take on rival Larkin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
