Baseball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Desert Hills Thunder

For the second straight game, Pine View will face off against Desert Hills. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Thunder at 7:00 p.m.

Pine View hadn't beaten Desert Hills on the road since April 25, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 5-2.

Tristen Sylvester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Porter Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Pine View is 2-1 when Campbell posts three or more RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. Cash Sisneros was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Pine View's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Desert Hills, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.
