Basketball Recap: Hollis' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hollis proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 26) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over the Mangum Tigers. The victory was familiar territory for Hollis who have now won three games in a row.

Hollis has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Mangum, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.

Hollis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-42 defeat against Frederick on the 24th. As for Mangum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-19 win against Snyder on the 24th.
