 Altoona is 0-6 against Central since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Altoona Mountain Lions will head out on the road to  take on  the Central Dragons at 4:30  p.m. Central took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Altoona, who comes in off a win.
 Altoona is headed into the  match fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They skirted past Cedar Cliff  6-5.
  Charli Schneider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and four unearned) runs on six hits.
 At the plate, Altoona got a  massive  performance out of  Lilly Snyder, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run and two  runs.  Mary Worley was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  18-6 to Penns Valley Area.
  Aubrey Rhodes was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaylee Kensinger, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Altoona's victory  ended  a  13-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 1-14. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
 Altoona suffered a grim  13-1 defeat to Central  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Thankfully for Altoona,  Lacey Lynn (who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
