Soccer Recap: Cleburne County Comes Up Short

Cleburne County lost against Haralson County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cleburne County came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 193rd in Alabama, while Haralson County are ranked 389th in Georgia).

Cleburne County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Haralson County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.

Cleburne County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Munford on the 11th. As for Haralson County, they will face off against Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
