Glenbrook North hasn't had much luck against Maine South recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

Glenbrook North lost 24-2 to Deerfield on Friday.

Meanwhile, Maine South waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Trevians, posting a 35-7 victory. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Trevians are ranked 51st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glenbrook North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Maine South, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Glenbrook North was dealt a bruising 65-10 loss at the hands of Maine South in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Hawks' Jameson Purcell, who threw for 165 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing.
