Baseball Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

Sherman fell victim to Scott and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Skyhawks by a score of 2-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Sherman and nudges their season record down to 9-11. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Scott, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-2 record this season.

Sherman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Capital on the 9th. As for Scott, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against Wayne on the 9th.
