Recap: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Cathedral Academy Generals
The Clarendon Hall Saints lost against the Cathedral Academy Generals back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Clarendon Hall took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cathedral Academy. Clarendon Hall has not had much luck with Cathedral Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Cathedral Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalyn Almeida, who scored 17 points. Almeida has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Griffin, who scored 17 points.
Clarendon Hall has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Cathedral Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarendon Hall will take on Calhoun Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cathedral Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John's Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John's Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Cathedral Academy is ranked 68th).
