Aurora East hasn't had much luck against South Elgin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tomcats will welcome the Storm at 7:00 p.m. Aurora East will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Aurora East and West Aurora faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. The Tomcats had to suffer through a 46-7 loss at the hands of the Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, the Tomcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 122nd).

Meanwhile, South Elgin came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Maroons 64-21. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 32 points or more this season.

South Elgin's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Aurora East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
