Baseball Recap: Custer County Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Custer County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against the Hoehne Farmers, falling 12-2. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Farmers earlier this season, when they won 12-8.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hoehne, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Custer County is on the road again on Friday to play Cotopaxi at 11:00 a.m. As for Hoehne, they will square off against Crowley County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Farmers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
