The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Easley HomeSchool Guardians at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics was able to grind out a solid win over Coastal HomeSchool, taking the game 36-23. Given Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 131st in South Carolina, while Coastal HomeSchool is ranked 414th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Caroline Mcgee, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Mcgee is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Rylan Dundon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 17 rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Easley HomeSchool sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 win over Cambridge Academy on Thursday.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Easley HomeSchool, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics beat Easley HomeSchool 43-36 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Does Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics have another victory up their sleeve, or will Easley HomeSchool turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
