Softball Recap: South Lyon Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

While South Lyon's win against Walled Lake Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Vikings 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

South Lyon pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Walled Lake Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

South Lyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair will be back at it again later today.
