Basketball Recap: Avon Grove Charter Takes a Loss

Avon Grove Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 60-29 loss at the hands of the Freire Charter School Wilmington Dragons. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Avon Grove Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Freire Charter School Wilmington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Avon Grove Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Freire Charter School Wilmington and Eastern Shore HomeSchool will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Shore HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
