Baseball Recap: Mossyrock Comes Up Short

Mossyrock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Toutle Lake Ducks, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ducks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Friday.

Kevin Mitchell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Gunnar Callies also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Mossyrock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Toutle Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Mossyrock will face off against Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Toutle Lake, they will square off against Toledo at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Riverhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Ducks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
