Football Recap: Battle Creek Falls to Mt. Pleasant in First Game of Season

Battle Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Mt. Pleasant Tigers 41-0 on Friday.

Colten Barba threw for 26 yards on seven of 11 attempts. On the ground, Jaxon Voorhies rushed for 42 yards.

Kayden McCrory had a dynamite game For Mt. Pleasant., rushing for 118 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. McCrory really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Battle Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 51-12 defeat against Columbia Central on the 29th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 49-0 victory against Zion Christian Academy on the 28th.
