Basketball Recap: Central Florida Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Central Florida Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 73-14 takedown of Forest Lake Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles were dealt a 64-37 defeat at the hands of the Dr. Phillips Panthers on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Central Florida Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Arriah Denmark, who posted five points in addition to 13 rebounds and three blocks. That's the most boards Denmark has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Victoria Rodriguez, who scored six points.

Central Florida Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Dr. Phillips, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Central Florida Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-43 victory against Leesburg on the 14th. As for Dr. Phillips, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-35 win against Bishop Moore on the 13th.
