Basketball Game Recap: Castleford Wolves vs. Camas County Mushers

The Castleford Wolves couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Camas County on Thursday. Castleford lost against Camas County in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-43 score last time.

Camas County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmett Palan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trevor Tews, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds.

Castleford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Camas County, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Castleford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Camas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
