Volleyball Recap: Clover Comes Up Short

If Clover was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nation Ford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Eagles came up short against the Catawba Ridge Copperheads on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Copperheads this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While Clover had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.

Clover has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season. As for Catawba Ridge, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4-2.

As of now, neither Clover nor the Copperheads have any future games scheduled.
