Basketball Recap: West Rowan Takes a Loss

West Rowan lost against Robinson back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Rowan Falcons were outmatched by the Robinson Bulldogs and fell 64-20. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 105th).

Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destiny Chambers led the charge by going 6 of 9 en route to 19 points and seven steals. Chambers continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camri Hobbs, who went 5 for 6 on her way to 19 points.

West Rowan dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Robinson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

West Rowan will take on Concord at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Rowan is facing Concord at the right time seeing as Concord is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Robinson, they will challenge Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
