Baseball Recap: Shelbyville Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Shelbyville proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Gary Bobcats 7-5. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Jerrick Hargrove looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jaxon Lambright was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Tanor Doggett was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Shelbyville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
