Basketball Recap: SEED DC vs. DC International Dragons

SEED DC played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 49-25 to the DC International Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against DC International this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-38 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, SEED DC saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leandra Rice posted ten points and three steals.

DC International was led to victory by Diatou Diop and Emma Caraballo. Diop dropped a double-double with ten points and 20 rebounds, while Caraballo shot 50% from the field on her way to 16 points and six boards. Diop is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Malia Butler, who had six points and nine boards.

SEED DC's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for DC International, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

As of now, neither SEED DC nor DC International have any future games scheduled.
