Soccer Game Preview: Enid vs. Mustang

The Enid Plainsmen will square off against the Mustang Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Enid's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Enid fell victim to Muskogee and their airtight defense last Thursday. They fell just short of the Roughers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Mustang faced Southmoore in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. Mustang never let Southmoore get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Mustang in their matchups with Southmoore: they've now won five in a row.

Mustang pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Enid, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-2.
