Volleyball Game Preview: Greenwood Eagles vs. Mauldin Mavericks

The Greenwood Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Mauldin Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Greenwood earned a 3-1 win over J.L. Mann.

Greenwood walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Mauldin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-5.

Greenwood's record now sits at 4-12. As for Mauldin, their record is now 14-11.

Greenwood suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Mauldin when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
