Softball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

While it was Cameron who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Cadott who put up more. The Comets fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 6-4. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Emerson Krahenbuhl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Brylee Viltz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Grace Dexter, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cadott, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Cameron and Cadott will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets will square off against rival Barron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cadott is set to challenge their familiar foe Thorp at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
