Basketball Game Preview: Richmond Oilers vs. Hercules Titans

Richmond is 1-9 against Hercules since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Richmond Oilers will challenge the Hercules Titans at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Richmond is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were beaten by Swett 74-32. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1348th, while the Warriors are ranked 584th).

Meanwhile, Hercules was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against El Cerrito, falling 72-50.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hercules, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Richmond took a serious blow against Hercules in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 75-24. Can Richmond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
