Langston Hughes took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Riverdale Raiders. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Langston Hughes had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-21.

Looking ahead, Langston Hughes will take on Westlake at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverdale, they will head out to challenge Lovejoy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
