Basketball Game Preview: Azusa Aztecs vs. Southlands Christian Eagles + Official Tickets

The Azusa Aztecs will head out to face off against the Southlands Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Azusa can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Monday. They fell 45-33 to Rosemead. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Azusa's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Victor Covarrubias, who posted six points and five rebounds, and Aundrae Ramirez, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Southlands Christian earned a 43-35 win over El Monte on Monday.

Azusa came out on top in a nail-biter against Southlands Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 72-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aztecs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
