Basketball Recap: Howard Huskies vs. Northeast Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westside, Howard was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Northeast Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies , who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Northeast lost, don't look at Keundre Jackson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Jacory Sherman was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.
Howard's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Northeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Howard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-44 victory against Hephzibah on the 10th. As for Northeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-39 loss against Bleckley County on the 9th.
