Baseball Recap: Minnehaha Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Minnehaha Academy's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Blake Bears. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-7. As for Blake, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minnehaha Academy will challenge Breck at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Red Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blake, they are taking a road trip to take on Providence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests.
