Mead entered their tilt with Centaurus on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They took their game with ease, bagging a 64-28 victory over the Centaurus Warriors. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Warriors are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caroline Kron was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-9 to rack up 17 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddy Wright, who posted seven points along with seven steals and five rebounds.

Mead was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centaurus only racked up two assists.

Despite the loss, Centaurus had strong showings from Ingrid Lorton, who scored 11 points and eight boards, and Clara Halloran, who earned 12 points and seven rebounds.

Mead's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points over those games. As for Centaurus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Mead will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Broomfield at 5:30 p.m. As for Centaurus, they have already played their next matchup, a 49-29 defeat against Erie on the 13th.
