Basketball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Chargers vs. Broadwater Academy Vikings
Isle of Wight Academy lost against Broadwater Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers fell 38-31 to the Broadwater Academy Vikings. Broadwater Academy was led to victory by Kacey Ford and Leah Smith. Ford went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and five steals, while Smith went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Smith has been hot, having also posted three or more blocks the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Adrianna Holloway, who posted six points.
Isle of Wight Academy's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
