Basketball Recap: Chase Comes Up Short

Chase was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 37th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the St. John Tigers and fell 90-20. While losing is never fun, the Kats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Tigers are ranked 72nd).

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for St. John, they pushed their record up to 12-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chase will welcome Otis-Bison on Friday. Chase is facing Otis-Bison at the right time seeing as Otis-Bison is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for St. John, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Plains on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (St. John: 27.3, Central Plains: 27.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
