Volleyball Recap: Darien Takes a Loss

Darien was the 3-0 winner over Ridgefield when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Wave took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. The Blue Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Darien saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marlene Davis had 20 digs and four aces.

Darien now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Ridgefield, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Darien will square off against rival McMahon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ridgefield is set to challenge their familiar foe New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
