Basketball Recap: Mercy Career & Technical's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Mercy Career & Technical unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of New Foundations by a score of 58-55. If Mercy Career & Technical was looking for revenge after losing 80-64 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Mercy Career & Technical had strong showings from Anthony Caple, who posted 18 points, and Taji Stewart, who scored 17 points. Caple's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elmer Peralta, who earned seven points.

Mercy Career & Technical's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for New Foundations, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
