Baseball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Penn-Trafford

Penn-Trafford barely beat Kiski Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Cavaliers on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won eight in a row.

Penn-Trafford got a great performance from Dom Delio as he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Delio has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brayden Stone was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Matrisch, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Penn-Trafford pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Kiski Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Penn-Trafford beat the Cavaliers by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday.
