Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Dixie Flyers
Two dominant players in Sean Felts and Kyle Lemke are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crimson Cliffs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 496 points over their last seven games.
Even though Pine View scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Crimson Cliffs still came out on top. Crimson Cliffs escaped with a win against Pine View by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64.
Felts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was McKay Lindquist, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Dixie had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 86-51 win over Cedar on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Dixie has posted since November 30, 2023.
Crimson Cliffs' win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Dixie, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
Things could have been worse for Crimson Cliffs, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-59 loss to Dixie when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Crimson Cliffs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
