The Glencoe Crimson Tide will challenge the McMinnville Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Glencoe 2.7, McMinnville 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Glencoe is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Newberg 22-3 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Crimson Tide, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kalli Farrimond was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, McMinnville faced Forest Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Grizzlies took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Grizzlies, who until this game were averaging 3.95 runs allowed.

Kaylee Dinger was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Genevieve Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Glencoe has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for McMinnville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
